In the last quarter of 2025, Elizabeth Jack-Rich Aid Foundation (EJRAID) launched the Youth Skills Acquisition Project (Y-SAP) toempower 80 young women with high-demand, cost-effective vocational skills suitable for start-up businesses.

To successfully deliver this vision, EJRAID partnered with the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) and HoneyTreat Trade Academy(HTA), both of which have established reputations for youth empowerment andhuman capacity development in Lagos State.

Given the project timeline, the program was implemented in two cohorts.

The first cohort trained 46 carefully screened young womenover an intensive three-week period in:

  • Tie-and-dye (Adire) Snacks production Makeup artistry
  • Hair styling Photography and editing
  • Ankara craft Leather works

The second cohort provided the same intensive training to 34 additional young women within the same time frame, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 80, as originally planned at the inception of the project.

On Thursday, 26 March 2026, EJRAID held a graduation ceremony to celebrate the successful completion of the program by all 80 beneficiaries, who were empowered with seven sustainable vocational skills.

A major highlight of the ceremony was the exhibition of products and services created by the trainees, alongside inspiring testimonies of their transformation journeys and future business plans.

The showcase featured:

  • Beautifully crafted Adire fabrics Creative Ankara accessories including earrings, bags, purses, belts, shoes, and wall décor
  • Elegant leather slippers Delicious snack products
  • Stunning hairstyling and makeup services
  •
Participants with their craft

Notably, some beneficiaries have already begun launching small businesses using the knowledge and skills acquired during the training.

It was truly heartwarming to witness these young women transition from unemployment to productive and income-generating entrepreneurship, which remains the core objective of the project.

Today, EJRAID proudly celebrates the resilience, dedication, and commitment of these 80 beneficiaries, many of whom are already making remarkable strides in the marketplace.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our valued partners,LSETF and HTA, for their collaboration in bringing this vision to life. We lookforward to many more impactful partnership opportunities in the future.

Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to our Founder, Dr.Elizabeth Jack-Rich, whose tireless commitment to women and youth empowerment continues to inspire and set a worthy example. We also appreciate the entire Elin Group Limited team for their unwavering support in ensuring the success ofour projects.
